About Us

Lotus Lawn and Garden has served the communities of Chanhassen, Eden Prairie, Excelsior, Minnetonka, Victoria, Lake Minnetonka and the surrounding Minneapolis area since 1989.

At the time, some people said we were crazy to open our shop out on what then was the very edge of the suburbs.  Over the ensuing years, farm fields and a two lane highway free of stop lights have been replaced by upscale subdivisions and a constant din of traffic during the day.  While the landscape along Highway 5 in Chanhassen is now full of retail storefronts with names that are recognizable across America, we're one of the few locally owned businesses that thrives.  We've been consistent over the years in striving to operate our business in a fair, honest, and profitable manner.   

Today, we focus on cutting edge plants, outdoor decor, and sustainable gardening. When we look for ways to improve our business, we think of the bottom line, and we also look for ways to lessen our impact on earth's resources.  We're in the original 'green' industry and have always appreciated the opportunities to promote good stewardship.  

Drive through the neighborhoods of Chanhassen, Eden Prairie, and surrounding towns and you're likely to see thousands of trees, shrubs, and flowers which were once in our garden center.  We're truly part of the fabric of this community.
